Had a fun time at the book reading at Barnes and Noble for the @indigoprogram program book fair on Tuesday, Nov 19. I enjoyed interacting with the kids and parents from the Indigo program that seems to share the philosophy of my kids’ school in developing the whole child. I was treated to peoples’ stories of how they first experienced Gulab Jamuns, indian sweets and the reach of indian food in the African continent. Did I ever mention I ate parathas on my hike up Kilimanjaro? The world is, indeed, a small place! I met fellow authors, young musicians, and talented illustrators. Participating in these events is always a learning experience. #bookreading#wholechildeducation#10gulabjamuns#diversebooks#weneeddiversebooks#readyourworld#kidlit#childrensbooks#picturebooks#mompreneur#authorlife #picturebooks #bayareaauthor#schoolvisits#ownvoices#booksaboutfood#countingbooks#indianauthors
